Program Description: 

Pacific Rim International Student Program proudly presents the "Pacific Rim Wild - Della Falls" Outdoor Experience. In the heart of the Pacific Rim region, this program offers international students and their families a West Coast style journey into the great outdoors. Pacific Rim Wild - Della Falls is more than an adventure; it's an educational exploration that nurtures a connection to our planet's rich biodiversity, cultural diversity, and indigenous knowledge, guided by experienced, passionate is key!

Della Falls Program Overview: 

  • Day 1: Adventure commences on the southern shore of Great Central Lake. Safety briefing, Canoe safety lessons and an Indigenous Welcome, and paddling across the lake to the north end. Campfire dinner and overnight camping with lessons on indigenous knowledge.
  • Day 2: Continue paddling to the Della Falls trail head, Hike from the north beach of the lake up to Della Falls. Arrive at the base of the falls and set up camp for the night.
  • Day 3: Explore the falls and surrounding area. Hike to Love Lake and back.
  • Day 4: Hike from the base of the falls to the Della trailhead, then paddle to Camp 9 Beach on Great Central Lake where you camp for the night, near the century-old remains of a train logging operation. 
  • Day 5: Paddle back to Singing Beach, completing the full-circle journey.

Program Duration: 

  • "Pacific Rim Wild - Della Falls" is a five-day adventure
  • Tentative dates for 2024: July 1st – July 5th

Della Falls is a prominent natural attraction on Vancouver Island
