The Pacific Rim School District welcomes students and families from around the world to explore the beauty and diversity of Vancouver Island's West Coast. Our elementary programs are offered in 4 communities: The City of Port Alberni, the Villages of Ucluelet and Tofino, and the tiny hamlet of Bamfield.

 

Elementary School Program Overview

  • Grade Levels: Kindergarten to Grade 7
  • Participating Schools: We have nine elementary schools in our program, each offering a warm and inclusive environment for young learners.

-Grade Levels: Grade 8 to 12

-Participating Schools: Alberni District Secondary School & Ucluelet Secondary School

Ucluelet Elementary school offers a nurturing environment with a focus on building strong foundations in education.

  • Bamfield Community School

Bamfield Community School is an integral part of our program, offering a unique learning experience in the coastal community of Bamfield.

 

We understand that your children’s education is a priority, and we will do our best to make the application process as simple as possible.

Documents required by the Pacific Rim School District

Parents in Canada on an official Work Permit:
Passport – a colour copy from the original documents of both parents/guardians and the child(ren).
Birth Certificate – a colour copy from the original document for the child(ren).
Work Permit for primary parent/guardian – a colour copy from the original document, valid for one year or longer, with employer identified on permit.
Proof of employment – a letter of employment dated within four weeks of application. The letter should include details such as the job title, confirmation of full-time status, description of responsibilities, term of work, wage and signed by a company official. Earnings must be minimum wage or greater. Full-time employment is considered to be twenty or more hours per week.
Permit for secondary parent/guardian – a colour copy of original document.
Proof of residency – a purchase or rental agreement, or a letter of residency if a friend or relative is hosting. Or two government issued documents showing home address.
Immunization record – a copy of the child’s(ren) record if available.
Custody documents – if applicable, an official custody document is required.

Parents in Canada on an official Study Permit:
Passport – a colour copy from the original documents of both parents/guardians and the child(ren).
Birth Certificate – a colour copy from the original document for the child(ren).
Study Permit for primary parent/guardian – a colour copy from the original document, valid for one year or longer, with institution or program identified on permit.
Proof of Enrollment – letter of acceptance, letter of enrollment, diploma or degree in public post-secondary (A diploma is defined as a program two years or longer), degree in private post- secondary with EQA designation (A degree is defined as a program for four years or longer), pre-requisite or bridging programs, including English language instruction, are not accepted, timetable showing full-time studies (three or more courses each term), full fees paid at time of registration (Deposits are not acceptable).
