Pacific Rim School District Announces New Principal at Ucluelet Elementary School

Port Alberni, BC September 25, 2026 - Pacific Rim School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Julia Jacobs as Principal of Ucluelet Elementary School, effective October 1, 2026.

Ms. Jacobs joins Pacific Rim School District most recently from Kitimat, B.C., bringing a broad range of educational and leadership experience spanning elementary, middle and secondary school settings.

Throughout her career, Ms. Jacobs has served in a variety of roles, including classroom teacher at the elementary, middle and secondary levels; district teacher supporting literacy and Indigenous education; Vice-Principal in both elementary and middle-secondary settings; Principal of a middle-secondary school; and Director of Instruction, Indigenous Education. This breadth of experience has provided her with a strong understanding of teaching, learning and school leadership across a range of educational settings.

Ms. Jacobs brings a strong commitment to collaborative leadership, student success and aligning school practices with district priorities. She is dedicated to contributing meaningfully to the goals of the Ucluelet Elementary School community through thoughtful leadership, a strong work ethic and a focus on building positive relationships.

Central to her approach is a commitment to creating learning environments where every student is supported, staff feel valued, and strong relationships with students, families, staff and community serve as a foundation for student success.
