About Us:
Inclusive Education is a broad term used to describe specially designed learning opportunities and services that meet the unique needs of exceptional learners across our district. We are committed to creating inclusive school communities where all students feel valued, supported, and able to succeed.
Our district believes that every student should be educated in regular classrooms and age-appropriate settings alongside their peers. Through intentional planning and meaningful support within the classroom, we work to ensure that students’ diverse learning needs are fully met in inclusive environments.
By fostering inclusive practices across all schools, we aim to remove barriers, promote belonging, and empower every learner to reach their full potential.
School Based Teams (SBT): Our Inclusive Education teams include behavior support teachers, school counselors at both elementary and secondary levels, integrated child and youth teams, mental health workers, school psychologists, speech and language pathologists, occupational therapists, as well as hearing and vision specialists. Together, they provide a continuum of supports that address the academic, social, emotional, and physical needs of students.
