National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

On September 30, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Pacific Rim School District stands with our Indigenous students, families, staff, Elders, and communities as we honour Survivors of residential schools, remember the children who never returned home, and acknowledge the lasting impacts experienced by families and generations. We recognize that reconciliation requires more than reflection on a single day - it calls on us to listen, learn, build meaningful relationships, and continue working together to create schools where Indigenous learners, cultures, languages, histories, and ways of knowing are respected, valued, and celebrated. Today and every day, we remain committed to walking this path together with humility, respect, and ʔiisaak.
