Terry Fox School Run: Howitt Elementary September 12th UPDATED Plan

Due to work being done on the Kitsuskis Dike Trail by the City of Port Alberni, we have had to adjust or Howitt School Run plan.

This Friday our run will be happening in the Howitt neighborhood. Please see the attached map. The numbers on the map represent a volunteer who will be on station to make sure students are staff and that traffic will be stopped at crossings so our students are safe.

We will have voluneers at crossing points along the route, currently we are looking for 5 to 6 more volunteers who can join us from 9;15 am to 10:15 ( we may done sooner).

The route is 1.32 km and can be walked in 15 to 20 minutes. We will start at the west end of the school in a staggered start with class (starting with our oldest students). A staff member will run at the front with runners.

Parents and families members are weclome to join us on the route to walk or run with classes.
