Become a Host Family for International Students!
Are you ready to bring the world into your home and share your Canadian lifestyle with an international student? The Pacific Rim International Student Program is looking for new families in the Ucluelet and Tofino area to host international students from across the globe.
Most of our international students come from Germany, Italy, Spain, and we are expanding to Austria and the Czech Republic. These students range from 15-18 years old and stay for either 1 semester (5 months) or 2 semesters (10 months). As a host family, you can choose the duration and gender that best fits your household.
As a host on the West Coast, you’ll receive a stipend of $1,500 per month, plus an additional one-time $500 payment for new families to cover startup costs. Hosting is an incredibly rewarding experience—your family becomes the “home away from home” for these students, sharing Canadian life while learning about their unique cultures. Many of our host families build relationships that last a lifetime, staying in touch and even visiting their students abroad.
