Volunteers

Ucluelet Elementary School relies on volunteers for many occasions throughout the school year.  We are grateful to the parents and community members who are able to share their time and talents with our children and school community.  We would love to hear from you if you wish to volunteer with us.  Opportunities may be volunteering for a field trip or whole school events.

Please complete the steps below to begin the volunteer process.

1. All volunteers are required to:
   1. Complete the Ucluelet Elementary School Volunteer Registration Form
   2. Have a current criminal record check on file at UES (obtained from local RCMP detachment)
   3. Complete a screening process through the UES Principal or designate
2. Volunteer drivers must have on file with UES:
   1. A completed volunteer driver form SD70 Volunteer Driver Form
   2. Car insurance with a minimum of $1 000 000 3rd party liability
   3. A current driver's abstract from ICBC (sign-in)
   4. A vehicle check by the UES Principal or designate
   5. Proof of meeting the volunteer requirements in #1

We encourage all parents who may wish to volunteer with their classroom teacher, to complete the steps in advance to ensure all necessary items are in place before a trip is planned and to be able to assist if there is a last minute need.
