What are Protocols?

Protocols refer to the guidelines, manners, etiquettes and rules that are in place to keep Indigenous ways of knowing, being, and doing at the forefront. School District 70 (Pacific Rim) is committed to working in ways that reflect Indigenous worldviews which will strengthen the learning experiences for all of our students. To build respectful and meaningful relationships we need to honor knowledge systems, it is critical that cultural protocols and worldviews are reflected in the work we do with students, staff and our community. The way knowledge is honored matters.
