The Quebec festival, called "Carnaval", will be taking place at École Alberni Elementary from Monday March 2nd to Friday, March 5th. This festival week has been put on by staff at our school every second year for over 40 years!
Some things to know are:
Monday - students will have a chance to buy a little piece of Quebec culture at the "Boutique Carnaval Store" in the library. All items will be between $0.25 - $3.00 each.
Wednesday - is traditional Lumberjack dress up day. Lumberjack 'Costume' = checked plaid shirt, colourful tuque, jeans and boots. Don't have a checkered shirt - red will do)
Thursday - is traditional French Foods day. Students will have a chance to taste fèves au lard / maple beans and poutine. Please send $2 and a spoon and fork to enjoy!
