What's been happening at UES and June happenings :)
Spring Fest at UES was a great success! Thank you so much to Donna, Brenda, Jason and Karen for helping us make this day so fabulous!
Lots of fun learning in Kindergarten!
Basketball was so much fun for our kids this year! We have played in our home gym, in Hitacu at the Cixwatin Centre and also at USS. Thank you Ms. C Wilson and Ms. Rithaler for coaching us this year, and thanks as well to Ron Norman for your help and support of the team!
During lunch recess we have had so many fun clubs. Bear Club, Chess Club, Yearbook Club, Dino Club and Art Club to name a few.
Thru ArtStarts in schools UES enjoyed a visit and performance by Kellie Haines, Ventriloquist.
Students were so excited when our local emergency vehicles visited our school during lunch to give kids a chance to view the vehicles and emergency apparatus.
June 20th Beach Day: at this point cancelled due to the Superintendent's letter regarding the critical condition with the fire and road closure.
June 21st: National Indigenous Day our school will join Wickaninnish Community School at USS for the day in celebration of National Indigenous Day and the official opening of the high school.
June 27th: Sports Day
June 28th: Grade 7 school leaving ceremony in the afternoon, last day of school for students
June 29th: Educational Accomplishment Ceremony and dinner in Hitacu
June 30th: Last official day for teachers and support staff members
July 3-5th: office will be open for families to pick up any missed items
