Before/After School Bus Transportation Survey

School-aged Transportation Survey

We’d love your feedback, families!

Pacific Rim School District is exploring the possibility of offering before and after school bus transportation for children who attend, or are on the waitlist to attend, licensed school-age care programs operated by our non-profit partners on school grounds.

We know that many families are currently on waitlists for care at their neighbourhood school. This potential transportation option could help families access available spaces at another school-age care site when their catchment site is full.

The idea would look like this:
Morning – Families would drop off at the school-age care site, and children would be bussed to their catchment school.
Afternoon – Children would be bussed back to the school-age care site after school, with pick up at the end of the day.

Because this service would operate on a cost-recovery model and requires consistent ridership, it would likely be offered full time (5 days per week).

Your feedback will help us understand whether this model would be helpful for families and if it’s feasible to move forward.
Please take a few minutes to share your thoughts by completing the short form below.

Thank you for helping us explore ways to better support children and families in our communities
