Chief Counsellor Ken Watts School Visit

On Friday, February 24th, Tseshaht Chief Councillor, waamiiš Ken Watts visited Madame Pam's Grade 5 French Immersion class.  With support from AES's Nuu-chah-nulth Education Worker Ms Irene Hanson, students had been learning about Traditional Roles, Responsibilities, Government and Trade of local Indigenous Peoples in their Social Studies class.  Students prepared and brought in food and drinks to share with Mr. Watts and Ms Irene as a thank you.  Grade 5 student, Flynn Moore presented Mr. Watts with a gift and card to show appreciation for his time and knowledge.  The class were very fortunate to be able to welcome Mr. Watts into school and the students enjoyed learning about local Indigenous roles as well as traditional trade routes which were explained to them by Mr. Watts.  Klecko!
