As the year comes to a close
This will be the last newsletter for this school year. On behalf of our entire staff, we would like to thank parents, guardians and extended families for your wonderful support this year. As we reflect on the events and accomplishments of our school community, we are proud of all of our students. For those families with children moving on to another school community, this brings a close to your time at Wood. Thank you for all your contributions over the years and for sharing your children with us. For the rest of our families, we wish you a safe, wonderful fun-filled summer. We are looking forward to seeing each of you again in September.
School Start-Up
The 2024-2025 school year will start on September 3rd, 2024. Please see attached school calendar for the upcoming school year. Class placement lists will be sent to families in late summer. Kindergarten students will be sent their gradual entry start-up schedule individually during July.
Farewells
Unfortunately, at this time of the year we have staff leaving our school, moving on to new adventures. We would like to thank the following staff members for their contributions to Wood Elementary School:

We would also like to congratulate Mrs. Chase on her retirement. Mrs. Chase has been an exceptional educator in SD70 for the past 37 years, many of which were at Wood Elementary School. We wish her much happiness in her well-deserved retirement.
