Track and Field

Its Track and Field season, Wickaninnish is hosting a WCS Track and Field Team with the aim of competing in the Pacific Rim District Track and Field Jamboree on June 7th at Bob Daly Stadium.  Students can compete in the following events: 100m sprint, 600 m run, 1000 m run, baseball throw, long jump, shot put (Grade 6/7) and 4 x 100 m relay.  Students will be competing in grade and gender categories.  Practices will be Tuesday at Lunch Recess  (Field Events – baseball throw, shot putt and long jump) and Thursday at Lunch Recess (Running events – 100 m sprint, 600m and 1000 m run).  Unfortunately, the numbers we are able to send to the Jamboree are limited, everyone is able to practice, and we will make every effort to bring as many competitors as possible, and we will be looking for parent drivers.  Please get in contact with bgrigg@sd70.bc.ca.
