SD70 Students Cooking up Success

District staff had the opportunity to pop in to visit three Alberni District Secondary School students, who are enrolled in the Youth Train in Trades Program at North Island College, which is offered through a partnership with the Industry Training Authority (ITA).  The students are completing the first step to becoming Red Seal chefs.   The delicious lunch they prepared was evidence of the great progress they are making.  This is just one example of the many hands on trades opportunities available through SD70 Career Education Programs.  If you haven’t already done so reach out to the Career Center at ADSS to find out more about these engaging programs.
